Emile joined Maximum in 2002, and in 2007 partnered Ed Barzilaij in the establishment of the Shanghai office. Emile was instrumental in building the office from the ground up, and in doing so not only established the first and leading employer branding and communications agency in China, but also became a highly respected brand himself. Today he is known as the Father of Asia’s Employer Branding industry as a result of his keen cultural awareness (personified by own Thai and Indonesia roots), hands-on experience in pioneering digitalisation in the sector, deep strategic abilities, and outstanding presentation skills. This has led to many invitations as a keynote speaker, where he has captivated audiences with his innovative solutions for clients such as Porsche, Deloitte, American Express, Deutsche Bank, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Roche, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Baidu, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Philips and HTC. The Father of Asia’s Employer Branding industry also became a father in Asia when his wife gave birth to their two children in Shanghai. As part of the agency’s expansion and commitment to putting its top people where the opportunities lie, Emile relocated to Singapore in 2015 to bring his passion, experience and expertise to a wider client audience across Southeast Asia.
