Your role: multi-channel writing that brings creativity to life
Flex your creativity and broaden your writing expertise crafting engaging copy across a broad range of digital and occasionally offline channels. Responsible for all aspects of the written word, you work independently and collaboratively to solve agency briefs with imagination, flair, and precision. You’re hands on, own your work with pride, and take pleasure in your craft.
Your clients: Varied creative projects for high-profile brands
We’re a small agency. But we do interesting work for big names. Projects are national, regional, and even global in scale. Accounts and briefs are varied. Recent examples include Employer Brand development for automotive and pharmaceutical giants; Website redevelopment for a leading international school; Social content and Graduate Recruitment marketing for one of the world’s largest consultancies; and Employer Brand activations for a leading Singapore bank.
Your tasks: Long and Short-form copy across the full breadth of Maximum’s capabilities
On any given day you might be: Contributing to project brainstorming sessions; Writing social content or eDMs and newsletters; Writing SEO optimised copy for career sites and web applications; Writing advertising copy for multi-channel campaigns; Interviewing clients and experts to generate creative ideas; Defining brand key messages and value propositions; Writing scripts for animations and films; Writing blogposts and web articles; Editing the writing of clients and colleagues; Writing Search Engine Marketing and Keyword campaigns; Writing communication guidelines, and Job Descriptions.
Your team: Virtual collaboration across Asia
Your role is part of an India start-up team, to support business growth and regional expansion. Most of the existing team are based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Singapore. But everyone works from home—or anywhere with a decent internet connection.You report directly to the Creative Director. Day to day, you also work very closely with Art Directors, Designers, Project Managers, Researchers, and Media Managers.
Who you are: Independent team player looking for creative control
With at least 5 years’ experience, you’re a confident operator and safe pair of hands. You’ve built a solid portfolio that demonstrates a keen ability to translate complex ideas into precise, compelling, persuasive, prose in a range of tonalities and registers. You know how to frame arguments, construct logic, adjust voice, and phrase information in order to maximise reader engagement and achieve project goals.
- You’re independent but highly collaborative. You’re equally happy working alone as you are being part of a team – whether they’re fellow creatives or colleagues in another department. You enjoy using your expertise to explore new ways to solve clients’ problems.
- You’re a gifted communicator. You speak openly and passionately about ideas with colleagues and clients, share opinions, and contribute to agency discussions and culture.
- You know the tools of your trade. You clearly present messaging concepts and provide advice and guidance on the tone and voice for agency and client projects and campaigns.

As a Senior Copywriter in the creative team, you shape the ideas that make those experiences effective and rewarding – and put them into persuasive, accurate long and short-form copy.
What you’ll need
- A bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in English, Journalism, Communication, Creative writing or similar
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Copywriter in an ad agency, interactive agency, or in-house creative department
- Exceptional command of English language, and an interest in the written and spoken word
- An ability to write creative copy for both larger pieces of content and shorter texts
- Basic keyword search knowledge
- Familiarity with UX writing and digital copy best practices
- Skilled at expressing yourself to colleagues and clients
- Knowledge of relevant software e.g.: MSOffice
